Product Overview
This book is a political analysis of India’s “greatest internal danger.” Even though several decades have passed since the Naxalbari revolution, it has returned again and again like a phoenix. It has repeatedly questioned the existing order. It has consistently raised the issue of an alternative social system and politics.Born to Nobel Prize–winning parents who loved the working people of India and the world, the author, Jan Myrdal, has crossed boundaries considered uncrossable. Ignoring the limitations of old age, he has recorded in this book, in simple and fluent language, his firsthand experiences with the people’s government of Dandakaranya — the present center of gravity of the Maoist movement. Anyone may oppose his views, but ignoring them is impossible.
