About the Editor
Amitava Chatterjee is Head and Professor of History at Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol, West Bengal. He has teaching experience of over 15 years in UG and PG level. His areas of interest are sports history and cultural studies, and his research thrust is the evolution of sporting culture in Colonial Bengal. He was in charge of Controller of Examinations (Additional Charge) at Kazi Nazrul University, Asansol from August’2016 to October'2017. He has edited few books viz. Itihase JanaSanskriti: Porishare Unish Bish Shatak, Gender & Modernity, People at Large: Popular Culture in Modern Bengal and People at Play: Sport, Culture and Nationalism and written extensively in reputed journals of India and abroad.
